Devinn Lane born Cherilyn Tracell McCarver, in Stanton, California is a former American adult model and pornographic actress, writer, director, and producer. She was adopted and raised in a fundamentalist Christian home. In 1990 at age 16 Lane became pregnant and worked as a stripper to support herself and her child. On May 15, 1998, Lane married her husband Darren Wasson and the two are still currently together. Lane was disowned by her father when finding out about her adult film career.

Lane made her film debut in 1999 only working in lesbian videos. Lane would later sign with Wicked Pictures becoming an exclusive actress with the studio where she also famously directed all five installments of The Devinn Lane Show. Lane made her first adult sex scene with a male actor in 2003 in her film The Devinn Lane Show 5: The Best For Last and later went on to star in scenes with men in films like Kink, Lovestruck, Space Nuts, Stilletto, Tuff Chick, and Lovers Lane all with Wicked Pictures. Lane retired from on-screen work in 2005 to focus more on directing and producing with adult film company Shane's World. In 2007 she hosted 7 Lives Exposed a mock reality tv show on Playboy TV.
