Ben Monk

Ben Monk is a filmmaker based in the West Midlands, often taking on the roles of Director, Writer, Producer and Editor across a range of different projects including feature films, short films, music videos, advertisements among others. He is the Co-Founder and Director of RDV Pictures, Director and Producer of the award winning film "Celestial Intersect" as well as co-creator of the character Richard De'Vaughn.

After making films from a young age, he decided to pursue filmmaking full time by studying Film Production at University of Worcester, where he honed his passion for directing and writing films, having several of his short films screened at local film festivals. During this time, he met RDV Pictures co-founder and co-creator of the Richard De'Vaughn project, Joshua Prior as well as RDV Pictures co-founders Henry Cox and Natalia Szczotkowska. As part of their studies, the company produced their first feature length film , "Celestial Intersect", which had a very successful film festival run, winning Best UK Short Film/Featurette at RTF Film Festival against 69 other films in the category, nominated for Best Feature at the Stratford Upon Avon Film Festival, Semi-Finalist of the Lit Laugh's Comedy Film Festival among others.

He now continues the project through online episodes and content, upcoming film festival releases for the project, and other projects, as well as developing Celestial Intersect as a TV show. Along side developing projects, he is also a TV videographer and post-production editor, as well as qualified Further Education lecturer.
