Mitani was born in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, on April 15, 1997. She made her debut in the adult film industry in July 2017 in the role of "college student." In April 2020, she announced that she would cease to be an independent actress and would become an exclusive actress at Honnaka and Das Studios. In August 2020 she was ranked ninth in terms of popularity for the first six months by Fanza's monthly magazine. In December of the same year, she was chosen as the 25th sexiest actress of all time by the readers of FLASH magazine.
