Sinopsis

Tras una infancia traumática que no ha conseguido olvidar, Tom Wingo (Nick Nolte), un desilusionado y algo rudo entrenador deportivo sureño, se ve obligado a revivir su pasado cuando viaja a Nueva York a petición de la doctora Susan Lowenstein (Barbra Streisand), la sofisticada psiquiatra de la alta sociedad de Manhattan que atiende a la hermana de Tom después de varios intentos de suicidio.

Sinopsis
